Expanded Screen - Expanded Cinema Project

The project continues a visual investigation I began with El sueño y la teta (2017), where photographic accumulation and the juxtaposition of images became a cinematic material in their own right. With D|G|TAL ASHES , I extend this investigation into the scale of contemporary personal digital archives, whose sheer volume can exceed individual human capacity for processing. The larger the temporal span, the more it begins to reveal patterns of perception, repetitions and relationships that might otherwise remain invisible. 
Computational tools become part of the cinematic process of letting go.
